A Summary of Major US Earnings Reports This Week

It will be one of the busiest weeks of the earnings season with some of the most valuable companies reporting their quarterly earnings. The remaining of the FAANG group will also release their corporate results with guidance across the week. Amid major companies within the industrial, finance and energy sector reporting quarterly results, technology stocks will be the highlights:

 

Tuesday

Google

Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG, GOOGL) will hold its quarterly conference call to discuss first-quarter 2020 financial results on Tuesday, April 28, at 1:30 p.m. PT/4:30 p.m. ET.

Pepsi Co

PepsiCo, Inc. (NASDAQ: PEP) will issue its first-quarter 2020 (ended March 21) financial results and other related information on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. The press released will be at approximately 6:00 a.m. EDT and live question and answer session is scheduled at 8.15 a.m. EDT

Starbucks Corp 

Starbucks Corporation (Nasdaq: SBUX) will release its second-quarter fiscal year 2020 financial results after the market close on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 with a conference call (webcast)to follow at 2:00 p.m. PT. 

Caterpillar Inc

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) will release first-quarter 2020 financial results at 5:30 a.m. CDT on Tuesday, April 28. A real-time, listen-only teleconference and webcast of the quarterly results call that Caterpillar conducts with security analysts and institutional investors will begin at 7:30 a.m. CDT on Tuesday, April 28.

3M Co

3M (NYSE: MMM) will hold its first-quarter 2020 earnings conference call on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at 8 a.m. CDT.

 

Wednesday

Facebook Inc.

Facebook, Inc. (NASDAQ: FB) announced today that the company’s first-quarter 2020 financial results will be released after market close on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Facebook will host a conference call to discuss its results at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET the same day.

Microsoft Corp

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) will report its quarterly earnings report in the afternoon. The conference call will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 2.30 p.m. PT.

Tesla Inc

Tesla will post its financial results for the first quarter of 2020 after market close on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. At that time, Tesla will issue a brief advisory containing a link to the Q1 2020 update. A live question and answer webcast will be held at 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time (6:30 p.m. Eastern Time) to discuss the Company’s financial and business results and outlook.

Boeing (BA)

The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] will release its financial results for the first quarter of 2020 on Wednesday, April 29. President and Chief Executive Officer David Calhoun and Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Enterprise Performance & Strategy Greg Smith will discuss the results and company outlook during a conference call at 10:30 a.m. ET.

General Electric

Earlier this month, General Electric withdrew financial guidance due to uncertainty associated with the pandemic and provided preliminary view of the first-quarter results.

GE will hold its first-quarter earnings call on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at 8:00AM ET, where it will share additional details. 

CME Group

CME Group Inc. will announce earnings for the first quarter of 2020 before the markets open on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Written highlights for the quarter will be posted on the company’s website at 6:00 a.m. Central Time, the same time it provides its earnings press release. The company will hold an investor conference call that day at 7:30 a.m. Central Time.

Thursday

Thursday will probably be the most important day with two tech giants, Apple and Amazon, reporting their quarterly results.

Apple Inc.

Apple will release its second-quarter results on Thursday, April 30, 2020 after market close. Apple’s conference call to discuss second-quarter results on the same say at 2:00 p.m. PT / 5:00 p.m. ET.

Amazon.com, Inc.

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) will hold a conference call to discuss its first quarter 2020 financial results on April 30, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. PT/5:30 p.m. ET.

Twitter Inc

On the 23rd of March 2020, Twitter, Inc. (NYSE: TWTR) withdrew its guidance for its revenue and income amid the growing impact of the novel coronavirus.

The Company will release its financial results for the first quarter of 2020 on April 30, 2020, before the market opens at approximately 4am PT (7am Eastern Time). a conference call will be hosted to discuss those financial results at 5am PT (8am Eastern Time). 

Mc Donald’s Corp

McDonald’s (NYSE: MCD) results will be published before markets open and an earnings conference call will be held on the same day at 07:30 a.m. CST.

Gilead Services 

Gilead Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: GILD) will announce its first-quarter 2020 financial results on Thursday, April 30, after the market closes. At 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time, Gilead’s management will host a conference call to discuss the company’s first-quarter 2020 financial results and will provide a business update.

Amid conflicting news that remdesivir has failed its clinical trials due to a premature study momentarily being posted on the website of the WHO, investors will also hope to get some clarity on the study.

 

Friday

Exxon Mobil 

Darren Woods, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and Stephen Littleton, Vice President and Secretary, will discuss its first quarter 2020 financial and operating results via webcast with slide presentation at 8:30 a.m. Central time on Friday, May 1, 2020. 

AON

Aon plc (NYSE: AON), will announce first quarter 2020 results on Friday, May 1st, 2020 in a news release which will be issued at 5:00 am Central Time. A conference call will be held on the same day at 7:30 am Central Time.
